Sultanpur Lodhi to Pakpattan: 198km

In the forests of Ajodhan, now known as Pakpattan, a local named Sheikh Kamal dropped the wood he was gathering and hurried to his master, Sheikh Ibrahim, struggling to contain his excitement. He had stumbled upon Guru Nanak and Bhai Mardana singing beneath the trees. The sound of the rabab, woven with Guru Nanak’s verses, reminded Kamal of the many Sufi mystics who had long graced this sacred land.

Sheikh Ibrahim, the twelfth successor in the lineage of Baba Farid Ganj-e-Shakar, went to meet Guru Nanak with open arms. Their meeting transcended mere hospitality, becoming a confluence of wisdom and spirit. The Sikh teaching of Ik Onkar resonated deeply with Sufi philosophy, while the tradition of langar reflected their shared devotion to serving humanity without distinction.
